Shawn Morris Appointed Director of Information Technology at Magnum Systems

Lenexa, KS - Magnum Systems is thrilled to welcome Shawn Morris, our new Director of Information Technology.

With over 20 years of experience in growing IT leadership, Shawn has deep expertise in enterprise data strategy, systems integration, and application management. His considerable background supporting private equity–backed organizations in fast-paced, growing environments makes him uniquely qualified to develop and implement scalable IT solutions for Magnum.

Before Magnum, Shawn was a Senior Database Developer at Custom Truck One Source. He led cloud architecture and data platform modernization efforts using Microsoft Azure, supporting enterprise-wide reporting during a time of rapid expansion. More recently, with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, he conducted modern ELT transitions to Azure Databricks environments and strategic data migration projects.

“We will strive to transform IT into a growth engine by standardizing core systems while embracing emerging technologies that enable agility, scalability, and continuous innovation,” Shawn explains. “Our goals in IT must be closely aligned with the business, creating a constant feedback loop with our leadership team and user community.”

Shawn’s proven track record in merger-driven systems integration, enterprise reporting, and leading cross-functional teams will be vital in aligning our IT strategy with business goals and scaling our capabilities for future growth.

He holds a Master of Science in Management from Baker University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Missouri State University. Additionally, Shawn is a multiple-time recipient of the Sprint Values Excellence Awards for his outstanding contributions. Based in our Lenexa office, Shawn will report to the CFO.

When he’s not working, Shawn enjoys spending time with his wife of 36 years, Tracy, their daughter Meredith, and his two grandchildren. An avid Royals, Chiefs, and Missouri Tigers fan, Shawn loves cooking out, entertaining family, and spending time with friends from church.

“We’re blessed to live really close to our daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids. This means we see each other for dinner 3-4 times every week and for EVERY Chiefs game,” says Shawn. “You have to be out of town for work or have a really good medical excuse to miss our weekly Chiefs game gathering. Other than that, we watch a lot of Royals baseball together at home and at The K. Tracy and I also love hosting family whenever possible.”
