Bill Griffiths Joins Magnum Systems as Director of Sales

Lenexa, KS - Magnum Systems is pleased to announce the appointment of Bill Griffiths as our new Director of Sales. Bringing extensive experience in leading sales for complex capital equipment and systems integration businesses, Bill will oversee all revenue-generating activities across Magnum Systems, including Systems Integration, Components & Parts, and Controls & Information.

 

“I get to really be the Director of Sales for a growing company, be in the mix, and help build the next phase of growth,” says Griffiths. “We are on a path to expand significantly, and getting in at the ground floor to help shape that future really excited me.”

 

Bill joins the team with a strong background in the food, agriculture, industrial, and advanced materials markets. Before joining Magnum, he held leadership roles at Komline-FluidQuip, Flatwave, and ICM, where he built disciplined sales teams and fostered close collaboration between sales, engineering, and operations. His approach focuses on meeting customer expectations with precision—ensuring that what is sold is delivered as promised.

 

“I don’t like the firefighter mentality; I want to keep the oily rags out of the garage,” Griffiths explains regarding his philosophy on sales discipline. “My main focus is going to be on consistency and preventing issues before they start, so our teams are set up for success.”

 

In his new role, Bill will focus on strengthening Magnum’s sales of Systems Integration projects. He aims to bring greater clarity to scope, pricing, and execution, ensuring alignment across departments. He recognizes the relationship between the initial system sale and the equipment’s long-term service as vital to the company’s success.

 

“You have to plant the seed and nourish it,” he says, describing his view on customer relationships. “These systems are going to last for 15 or 20 years. If we do a good job on the parts and service side, we build a partnership that lasts the entire life of the machine.”

 

A commitment to collaboration and listening defines Bill’s leadership style. He intends to break down silos and ensure that every team member feels heard as the company moves forward.

 

“We want to do it better,” Griffiths adds. “It’s about sales discipline, making sure roles are defined, and ensuring we have clean, happy, and friendly relationships with our customers.”

 

Outside of the office, Bill resides in the Kansas City area and enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. Whether it’s hanging around the house, watching his kids’ activities, or spending time with friends, Bill values quality time with his family. The Griffiths family also enjoys traveling whenever their schedules align. A lifelong Brewers and Packers fan, Bill grew up just outside Milwaukee and brings that same team spirit to his work.
