Type-1 Rotary Valve

The Basic Rotary Valve Type-1 Airlock is our most popular rotary valve due to the simple fact that it is more than adequate for the bulk of rotary valve applications and most all feeder applications. Shaft air purge (a kit that puts a compressed air purge right at the seals in end-plates).

TYPE-1 AIRLOCK FEATURES: 

• Construction: Cast iron housing and endplates with a mild steel open end rotor
• Shaft Air Purge
• Available sizes ranging from FT7-1 airlock (6” Inlet) (0.12CFR) to FT30-1 airlock (30” Inlet)  (9.90 CFR)
• Available with round inlet and outlet in sizes: FTP9-2 (8” inlet) and FTP12-2 (10” inlet)
• Available for high temperature applications up to 500° F

Type-2 Rotary Valve

The Abrasive Resistant Rotary Valve Type-2 Airlock is our most popular abrasion resistant rotary valve for the asphalt industry.  What makes the Type-2 rotary valve work as well is the closed end rotor design that has bolt-on hardened steel tips and the housing bore is coated with industrial-hard chrome.

TYPE-2 FEATURES: 

• Construction: Cast iron housing with a hard chrome coating and cast iron endplates
• Mild steel closed end rotor with bolt on tips – 400 Brinell (43Rc) Hardness
• Shaft Air Purge
• Available in sizes ranging from FT9-2 airlock (8” inlet) (0.21CFR) to our FT30-2 airlock (23” Inlet)(9.2 CFR)
• Available with round inlet and outlet in sizes: FTP9-2 (8” inlet) and FTP12-2 (10” inlet)
• Available for high temperature applications up to 500°F
