FILTER RECEIVER

Round filters are designed for higher-pressure pneumatic conveying applications. They are also used more often in dust collection systems when deflagration is a concern. The round design allows pressures up to 15 PSIG pressure and 17 inch mercury vacuum. Also, round filters, when equipped with a pneumatic inlet, give the filter a cyclonic inlet that aids in the material/air separation in the filter and a gentler handling of friable or abrasive products being conveyed into the filter. Round filters are typically a requirement on vacuum conveying systems due to the high vacuums at the filter, but are usually an option on pressure systems since the conveying air is typically back near atmosphere pressure at that point.

The round filter line can use any of the Magnum System’s standard filter elements: Singed polyester, spun bond polyester cartridges and PTFE membrane bags or cartridges and can be built in either carbon steel or stainless steel. All Magnum filters come with the smart timer control system that allows you to choose between clean on demand or continuous cleaning of the filter elements along with dry contacts for alarm signals. All Magnum’s Round Filters use a compressed air back flushing style cleaning method commonly called “pulse jet” cleaning.
