Magnum Systems newest open mouth bag filling machine, the IAPO (Incline Auger Packer, Open-mouth), has been developed by collaborating with customers in the asphalt industry. Like many of our offerings, it can be used to handle a variety of other materials as well.
The IAPO bagging scale is designed to package heavy, hard to flow materials (like cold patch asphalt) and is designed to fill bags between 40 to 120 pounds, (or 18 to 55 Kg) at up to 6 bags/min.
Bags are placed onto the IAPO's V-Clamps and held in place while the bag is filled. The scaling system recognizes the weight and stops the feeder and closes the UHMW gate when the bag is filled. The bagging system includes all of the necessary controls, including our T-4000 digital weigh controller with LCD display and keypad interface mounted in a nearby enclosure.
Magnum Systems can provide full packaging lines from material storage, to bag/container filling, bag sealing, conditioning, conveying as you see in the video as well as Robotic Palletizing for more automated applications.

What are customers saying about the Incline Auger Packer bagging system?
Ben M. of North Canaan CT said: “When one of my largest customers asked me if I was interested in bagging the material we previously manufactured, I jumped at the chance. Researching other plants I found that most of the operations I wanted to emulate were operating systems from Magnum. When this system is operating at its capacity I plan on working with Magnum again to install a duplicate system.
